On the address bar you will see an icon that looks like a ripped piece of paper. 
Click on it.  This will turn on the compatibility view and allow the search to work.
 

If the tools bar is not showing, right-mouse click on the title bar and select command bar.  Now click on "Tools" and then "Compatibility View". The Search should now work!!!
